Well, Ryan and I have now had our first Christmas together.
We had a nice visit with the Waggotts and stayed at Hotel Anthony and Carrie. All was well during the trip except for a minor / major incident at the waterpark. I was very excited to go to the Waterpark since our last trip to Edmonton and had convinced Anthony and Ryan that we should go.
Side note: We found the best deal for the entrance. If you buy a copy of "christmas in wonderland" (filmed at WEM), you get a free admission to the park. So we got in for $20 not $37. Only trouble is we then had 4 copies of a terrible movie.
So picture it... we are going down the tube ride (some may call this the lazy river) and someone had the bright idea to link arms. (This is NEVER a good idea). All is well until the final part of the ride, when we hear a faint voice saying "I'm not going anywhere" ... now Ryan leading the four of us down the ride starts to see this all coming because he is about to make contact with the wayward lady.
He takes a deep breath thinking that he's going to knocked out of the tube but alas, we keep moving along for another 10 feet when we start to stop. The only trouble is we have momentum, arms and legs in the air ... and .... my heel hits Ryan's head.
He gets up, a little woozy, then notices he can't hear as well.
After a short trip to the ER, he discovers that his eardrum is perforated, punctured.
Of course, the rest of our trip wasn't as eventful, thankfully.
